I am an amateur but serious photographer based on the Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire border near Peterborough. Although photography is my hobby all models can expect to be treated with professionalism and respect at all times. No experience is required and I'm always happy to work with new models or girls who want to do a one-off shoot with no plans to carry on modelling.
I prefer to work outside with natural light although obviously this is not always an option due to the weather or style of poses. For working indoors I have a basic lighting set-up which can easily be set up in the model's home, or once a month it is possible to use a professional hire studio in Peterborough. I am happy to work in the studio more often than once a month but any models who want a studio shoot when I'm not booking it anyway will need to cover the hire cost themselves.
I generally work on a time for disc basis which means that no money changes hands. This way I get a model and the model gets a set of photographs on disc. The disc will be fully edited and the photographs will be large files not thumbnails which are of little use to anybody.
On the projects page there are some ideas which I am currently working on and require models for. This list is not exhaustive and I'm always happy to hear from models with their own ideas for shoots. When contacting me with any ideas please note that I don't photograph men, children, weddings, parties, real drug use, and anyone who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. I also do not photograph anyone who I suspect is posing under pressure from a third party and who does not really want to be there.
A quick word about copyright which is widely missunderstood. When a photographer takes a photograph he or she automatically has copyright of that photograph. The only exceptions to this are when a model, company or organisation have paid the photographer an agreed fee which includes the copyright. The only other exception is the Eiffel Tower illuminated at night which is copyright protected. Neither of these exceptions apply to the photography I do. With this in mind, I retain the copyright on the photographs I take however, I do not place any restrictions on how models use their copy of the photographs. I may choose to use some of the photographs on my website or photography portfolio site although I will always remove them if they are causing problems for a model. If the poses are particularly explicit these photographs will never be used on my website or portfolio.
